Below is an article apparently reported by "The New Yorker".

If Iran has no nuclear weapon whatever and it is the CIA that is saying they don't - WHY on earth does the article start with White house dismisses and then ends with it wouldd't matter who won (Dems or Repub's) we'd still be looking at war with Iran?

What the hell goes through peoples heads ?
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House dismissed a classified CIA draft assessment that found no conclusive evidence of a secret Iranian nuclear weapons program, The New Yorker magazine reported.

The end of the article

The article, in the current issue of the magazine, discussed how Vice President **** Cheney believed the Bush administration would deal with Iran if the Republicans lost control of Congress -- as they did in the November 7 election.

"If the Democrats won on November 7th, the vice president said, that victory would not stop the administration from pursuing a military option with Iran," Hersh wrote, citing an unidentified source familiar with the discussion.

TruthHurt...

I guess the question of does art imitate life or life art has been answered - So who is in control of the "art" ? The god of the TV does in fact determine truth and that in turn causes life to imitate the art (TV) -

Wow how very very George Orwellian huh ?

1984 it is! And most of us thought it was just a fictitious premise, but we're are seeing it played out daily. Scary, Isn't it?

I am more annoyed at the everyday American for allowing themselves to be duped in the first place and to continue to defend the charlatans in the white house and elsewhere.

Plus they would be the first to say they did not support these liars when they finally have no choice but to admit the inventive administration is a major cause of most of the strive in the world.

You reference "the truth" and then cite an article that relys on classified, unattributable and anonymous sources.

I'd say we have to start with your concept of truth, or at the very least of proper and responsible journalism.

Yea right.

Here you are talking about 'truth' when you are basing everything on an article that is pure speculation.

Nope. The truth doesn't gain anyone any power or make any money, currently. Therefore, it holds no value. Like the dollar, it will rise again as soon as it's advantageous enough for enough string-pullers.
