Firstly, I dont want to give up drinking all together

Secondly, I wont go to rehab or AA

Thirdly, I do drink alot and it sucks, any tips?

(Sorry I'm not trying to be stubborn about the first 2 but still, I want tips that I will actually do, and I won't do the above two!)

Thanks!

Remind yourself that for every bottle or can of beer you drink, you must run a mile a.s.a.p. afterwards.

Believe me, that is a great deterrent to stop drinking and/or to getting in better shape.

I bring this plan up also because heavy use of alcohol over long periods of time raised your cholesterol levels, hardens your arteries, and raises your blood pressure, whereas daily running or other aerobic exercise does the opposite of those effects.

Look at it like this: either you'll stop drinking altogether and be in good health, or you'll stop drinking too much and still be in good health.

Sounds like a win-win plan to me.

If you don't want to use help from AA and do it by yourself, then you might succeed, but since you're so stubborn the most likely will be that you will return to the drink faster than you think.

Limit the times you allow yourself to drink.
