How can I make myself enjoy them and introduce them into my daily diet? The only one I do like is potatoes.

Try chopping parsnip into chip like shapes and oven baking it with a low fat cooking spray until they're crispy, you'll find them much nicer than ordinary chips and they're healthier too. Also, if you like potatoes, you might find you like chick peas and other pulses like that. I don't find them that different taste wise from spuds.

Another idea is to mash carrot / swede into your potatoes, another crafty idea to get you to eat veg.

Presumably you are a meat eater. If so. why don't you try a beef or chicken stew with carrot, parsnip and swede in it? I can't stand parsnip and I am not too fond of swede , but I can tolerate, and even enjoy them, in a stew. Another idea is to put your vegetables into a potato soup. When the soup is liquidised the vegetables just blend in.
Another tip is to try pulses like red kidney beans , green lentils, red lentils, butter beans, they are more like potatoes in that they are quite filling but without a strong taste.Don't just put them into a pile on your plate though, like you would with peas or cabbage, mix them into your cooking such as bolognese sauce etc. There are lots of different beans and pulses available in the supermarkets, very often canned, and they cost very little.
Bon appetit.

Fruit and Vegatables are good for you but you must have meat as well. The problem with any diet is yes you will lose weight but it will not last because you cannot stay on a diet. And when you lose weight fast you usually gain even more back. You try a healthy eating which includes fruits and veggies and eat lean cuts of meat and exercise and you will lose the weight and keep it off!

Shepherd's pie- FANTASTIC- meat, potatoes and veggies- I HATE VEGGIES put I love Shepherd's pie

also- Chicken pot pie

try cooking the veggies in different ways

ex: roasting over a grill
pan searing
bake in the oven
make a veggie drink? ick no, forget that

Find lots of way to incorperate veggies into food that you do like

example- Stuffed baked potatoe with cheese, peas, and some other veggie

Try different seasonings, if you're up for butter is can be a great distraction from a sometimes flavorless veggie

for breakfast have some all bran with various( grape banana and orange work well) chopped up on it. for lunch try tomato and basil soup you can buy it from the supermarket ready made so u can just heat it up and it is really good and healthy too. i love it and i dont even like vegetables. for dinner if u are really stuck try mashed potatoes with egg ( crack an egg into it after u have drained the potatoes and mash it some more i(t is really good) for supper just eat something small and light. too much calories makes u fat and cheese gives u nightmares remember!

if you don't like vegetables, you can try to disguise them

by this i mean east them with sauces, currys, casseroles, in pies etc.

try getting a vegetarian cook book and look at the recommendations in there. because vegetarians specialise in fruit and veg the know many different ways of serving then. you should be able to find something which you like, plus you can eat meat with if you want to

if all else fails make sure you get a good multivitamin and mineral supplement everyday.

perhaps you should do this anyway

good luck

I used to be exactly the same as you I never ate any vegetables! the best thing would be to cut them up & put them into soup, carrots (grated), leek, onions, potatoes, ham cubes, lentils/split peas & spare ribs from butchers. If you don't like eating it thick like this then you can always blend the vegetables down & once you get the taste for it your laughing. That's how i get my veg now & i don't have to blend anymore. good luck!

You can't not like ANY vegetables!!! If so, your parents must've not fed you so well when you were little!

I think most of liking a food is getting used to it. How about sweet vegetables like sweetcorn, peas, carrots? Put them in nice sauces too, carrots are lovely in butter and parsley. Fried mushrooms are sooo good too, yum!

Gd luck x

Even if you 'dont like veg' surely you can tolerate it? It's gonna be very bad for you if you dont.. If not, pls take some vitamins or something!

I don't know about veggies, but I would suggest keeping some almonds and pecans around. Both are really good for cholesterol, contain good proteins and fats, and provide fiber. I personally find them pretty tasty and it is easy to grab a handful on the way out the door.

Try things like carrot cake, garden pasta sauce, add small chopped up vegetables to recipes. You could always take vitamins instead of eating the vegetables too.
