loose 3 pounds in one day? if i starve myself for the whole day. and whats the fastest way to loose weight

The only way to loose that sort of weight would be an intense work out.

Human fat tissue contains about 87% lipids, so that 1 kg of body-fat tissue has roughly the caloric energy of 870 g of pure fat, or 7800 kcal and as 3 pounds is 1.360797 kg you would have to burn off around 10400 kcals or the equivalent to around 5 days worth of healthy eating. At eat around 2000 kcals a day.

WEIGHT LOSS

Although there are many programs advertised to help you lose weight, the only proven long-term and safe method is to burn more calories than you consume.

This is achieved either by reducing the caloric intake (eat less food or healthier food) or by increasing the energy expenditure (exercise more). Often, behavior modification techniques like eating smaller portions are used to help control eating habits. Once the weight is lost, these habits can be modified slightly for weight maintenance.

WEIGHT LOSS TIPS

One pound of fat contains approximately 3,500 calories, so to lose one pound a week, a person should consume approximately 3,500 fewer calories per week. This can be done by reducing the daily intake by 500 calories per day (500 x 7 days will provide a deficit of 3,500 calories per week). To lose 2 pounds per week, a deficit of 1,000 calories per day is required.

If this seems impossible, remember that physical activity also contributes significantly to weight loss. The deficit of 500 to 1,000 calories can come from a combination of increased physical activity and reduced intake on a daily basis.

Therefore, you don't need to experience significant food deprivation. The lowest intake per day recommended for women is 1,200 calories, unless they are in a medically-supervised.

To lose that amount of weight or burning that amount of calories is not advised unless you are super fit. (Then you you would know all about calories and how to burn them off) On average you burn between 3 to 7 calories per mintute of exserise depending on the work out. So you can see that it would take an intense prolonged work out to lose that amount. See the third link to get an idea of the calories burnt over various excersises.

Technically but if you did the weight you lost would be fluids and you would gain it back as soon as you drink anything. Also you would be likely to suffer from headaches due to dehydration. If you starve yourself all day you will only crave fatty foods later on and end up over doing it. Eat small, healthy, filling meals regularly, drink plenty of water and forget about the time limit. Aim to lose 2 or 3 pounds a week, not in a day or you will only dissapoint yourself and give in. If this is for some sort of weigh in, either face up to it or dont go along this week, there isn't an easy way out.

Sometimes you can loose three pounds in one day but you will gain them the next day or over the period of the week, month, etc. There is no healty way to loose weight fast. Walk, run or jog 3-5 times a week for 45 min. Cut out fatty foods, drink lots of water to fill you up if you feel you eat to much. Don't eat after 6 pm. Snack wisely...i.e, fruit, gronola bars, yogurt, cheese.

that wont work. Its very unhealthy and down right dangerous to do that. You cannot crash diet and loose weight in a healthy way.

You will go a few days, you will get extremely weak, pass out, could wind up in the hospital. Dont do it!

If you want to effectively loose weight go on a diet and exercise (and consult a doctor first)

yeah i need to loose weight for Xmas am thinking i need to loose about 15lbs so am gonna starve myself where there is a will there is a way
if ya really wanna loose weight you could try starving yourself or getting the flu for a couple of weeks, meant to make the weight drop off
sorry don't listen to me though i am so irresponsible telling you that

Maybe you could lose that much if you had a really bad case of grastoenteritis but if you didnt eat for a whole day you wouldnt feel very good especially if you were doing it for an event in the evening, you just wouldnt enjoy yourself at all. Better to lose it gradually and then you have less chance of gaining it back

i dont know why you would want to lose weight that fast in one day but it can only turn against you. if you starve your body it will store every fat you eat as a reserve and also your metabolism will slow down and eventually you will gain weight.
This is because you need muscle to burn calories and if you do a fasting diet the weight you lose is water ( which is what muscle is made of) and you need muscle to lose weight. vicous circle. You will be left with less muscle and still the same amount of fat.

try:

breakfast: best time to eat bread and cereals for carbs

lunch: small amount of carbs, with meat, veg and fruit

evening meal: lean meat or fish with salad or veg

snacks: nuts, fruit (cherries especially very good substitute for sweets, i love harilbo!!!!!),small amount of sweets

cut down: alcohol, cheese, ready made meals, fast food, crisps (chips)

honestly its best to do it this way, best result in long run, you will still see the result in a month!!! good luck x

Eating and PROPER dieting the all around best way to lose weight.

+Crash Dieting, is in NO way whatsoever, good for you. A healthy diet helps make a good night sleep possible and your body fuction. Crash Dieting can cause weakness, fainting, reproduction problems, growth problems or even death.

+A good place to start with PROPER dieting, is to control your portion control, a lot of people are unaware that MOST of the food they eat is in very unheathy portions.

+The human body also needs 90 minutes of consecutive cardiovascular exercise a day. Basically, 90 minutes of exercise that makes you sweat and your heart beatinging faster.

+Drinking water removes toxins from your body. Eating fast food is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. The grease isn't changed 'everyday' which is unhealthy. Fruits, veggies, a balanced meal three times a day - with exercise that is not too strenuous for you.

I want to emphisize OVER exercising isn't healthy, it can cause a lot of problems for your body just as much as a person who does not exercise.

Ahh but you are wrong it can take up too 3 days of starving but starting on the first day. Dont stick with it though. I was anorexic and while I was thin I was also very sickly and it has caused lasting problems.

The best way is to eat healthy and take the weight off slowly cause if the weight comes off quick it will go back on quick, if it comes off slow it will take longer to gain the weight back.
