He needs professional help to widen his diet. Get his mum to take him to the doctor and ask for a nutritionist referral...;

I have a cousin who, when he was between the ages of 8 and 14, wouldn't touch a vegetable and ate meat or junk food and had horrid table manners. He is now a well-rounded productive vegetarian who is a joy to be around. Your nephew will hopefully grow out of this stage soon.

It sounds like a little OCD.

Kids do go through goofy stages. When I was young I gagged at certain foods. I got over it,
a little to well.

Too bad. He'd eat what I made or he just wouldn't eat. That's ridiculous to gag.

When he gets hungry enough, he'll eat what everyone else is eating. Trust me. Do NOT let him manipulate you.

He is not accustomed to what you serve. His diet at home is probably a lot different. I am assuming that you are a good cook.

he was probably spoiled, food - wise, when he was younger and there fore not exposed to other foods and allowed to eat only certain things.

he is spoiled and picky and needs his butt whipped...i'm serious...i' 13 and if i did that i would get my butt beat...he needs to be taught a lesson......i'm spoiled but not that much
