Oh c'mon now. I know at least 9 fathers personally who don't have any trouble hearing their children under these circumstances? As a father of 3, I can tell you without a doubt that those parents who can do this are in the minority...that includes mothers too!
Decrease the stereotypes! If the father in question is doing this, then you need to address it.

They lack the maternal instincts that we have. Plus men are much less emotional then we are any way. If they want to help the baby stop crying it's because they are annoyed by it, not saddened.

iT'S EASY JUST zone them out, I do it when I am at the cashier's I completely shut off my hearing, it's easy it's not like you have to master a skill.

my husband coulded hear my kids when they werd little,,,,, but sometimed he couldnot sees them through the smoke.
