This is not Nazi Germany. If a wall is built then what next? Card carrying ID's to either prove you're American or no ID's to show you're undocumented? That's just sick. It's just someones fantasy to separate the Whites,Hispanics,blacks,Asians and Native American. That's just wrong. No wall !

I don't understand why we aren't doing that to begin with. Why only 700 miles of the border? Who came up with this number? Why not the whole border. I'd rather spend the extra money to cover the whole thing instead of still leaving a pocket open for people to get through. But either way, the illegals get us to spend money, whether it's paying for their welfare here, or building the wall to keep them out. But at least the money would go to something productive. I don't think people realize the money doesn't just go to building the wall, it goes towards surveilance systems on all parts of the wall and border that aren't being patrolled. That way someone can radio the patrol unti when someone is trying to sneak in. I seem to think this will be very effective and very well worth the money spent.

Although I'm Mexican, I actually agree with the idea, because it could then lead to reformation. If you can't come to the United States anymore, you could help fix up your country (it doesn't have to necessarily be Mexico, it could be Columbia, Argentina, etc.) I really think they should build a big wall, to keep illegals out, but provide worker's licenses for those that want to work here, earn money, and then leave. Bush should also talk to Latin America's presidents, like Mexican president Vicente Fox, (well, he's not the president anymore, they just had elections in July, and Felipe Calderon will be the next president...) But anyways, if he asked the presidents to fix up the country, like by helping out the poor, since the vast majority of the people that cross the border are very poor, it would make people less tempted to come here. I've lived in Mexico, and I've seen how the government loves the rich, but hates the poor. (kinda like the US.)

Israel geared up a wall between them and the Arabs because of the fact it prevents suicide bombers from stepping into. Who mentioned it owes the Palestinians get entry to. u . s . a . and Mexico, the wall regulates get entry to, there at the instant are not any international rules concerning what the border between 2 international places is to be made up of. You build a wall with the intention to clean up a difficulty.

YES .. and stop the illagals from smuggling in!! DUDE i dont know how people around here like that!!!!! Tey are breaking the laws .. and not paying taxes .... and smuggling weapons .. murder others without being noticed ( coz their names are not registered in local authorities) ANd yet people are pretty welcoming .. and open the US border for them. It you say its okay for them to smuggle in then your saying that USA shouldnt have borders at all.... Heck lets turn usa into a mexican backyard ... !!!!
I think they should watch teh borders more carefully and build an electric wire fence .. to teach those smugglers a lesson .. TO COME HERE LEGALLY.... I am not againt them im just against the whole illegal crap and demanding a US passport after breaking teh laws .. and calling themselves americans!!!!!

Good fences make good neighbors. Not a fence a WALL a israel style wall and i has to be buried deep cause the little roaches can dig man. A huge wall from one side to the other !
