Just tell him that you don't want to go. Tell him the honest reason why. Don't be scared it's you dad, what's the worse he can do.

First what are your reasons for not going hunting? Are you morally against it, or do you just not want to go. If you are not morally against it I would say go and spend time with your father. Maybe he is using this as a way to get closer to you. If this type of activity is totally out of character for you, maybe you can agree on a trade, you go hunting with him if he will try something that you like to do that he dislikes.

unless your father is dick cheney, and you're afraid of getting shot, what's the problem?

all kidding aside, if you have a problem with the whole concept - cruelty to animals, etc, then you better be a vegan... keep in mind that our ancestors survived by hunting wild animals. although it is not necessary for the majority of people to hunt fo sustenance in this day and age, it is still an acceptable, and legal practice. if you object on moral grounds, just say so. he'll either respect you for it and back off, or he won't. if he doesn't respect your opinion, you have bigger issues to resolve than whether or not to go hunting.

Just tell him you don't want to go hunting and you will not enjoy it. I am sure he will understand. Your dad may want to spend some other father son activity though, so why don't you suggest something you would enjoy! (bowling, football game, rodeo show, movies, ect)

Gosh, why do all these people on Yahoo want you to go hunting? If you don't want to go, you don't want to go!

How about come up with something else you both can do instead of hunting. Camping? Fishing? Movies?
