I have quite dry dark-blonde hair and want it lightened, but not dried out at all. Have heard that Aveda use 97% natural ingredients in their colours, so maybe would cause less damage... just wondering if anyone has experience of it.

I worked at an Aveda salon and had my hair highlighted there also. It is true that the dye is almost 100% natural so it is a lot better for your hair than other dyes that have a lot of harsh chemicals. I was very happy with my colour and our salon was always very busy, so I definatley recommend Aveda.

I was happy with it, and didn't experience any damage or drying. But I've been dyeing for a long time and so I'm basically getting my roots done and some highlights once in awhile.

I use Aveda products pretty regularly - I think the quality is overall very good.

I've used Aveda hair products but not any lightening products. The actually have a brilliant conditioner you can put on your hair after you lighten it and i think it's called Cherry bark and something. It's really good for putting moister back into your hair after a treatment. I'd give them a go!
