I am trying to subtract a value and I don't know what they mean about the function. All I want is B3-B2 to be placed in C2...

The formula would be entered in C2 "=sum(B3-B2)" and the answer will appear in box C2

This is how you do it: (1) Move your cursor to the C2 box. (2) Up on the blank line above the spreadsheet where you type in the data you want to appear in that cell, type in =B3-B2. That instructs the computer to take the value in cell B3 and then subtract from it the value in cell B2.

Try typing =B3-B2 in the C2 cell.

Put in the cell you want the answer =(B2-B3) in the fx line on the top of the page. This will give you the answer.

put the cursor in C2, then put in =B3-B2 (i think) the additional details went away when I answered.
