Not to be bias but I seem to see two sides to Islam. One that is supposely about peace while the other is about terror. I don't know which one to believe. I'm just gona watch my back when i'm around a muslim.

What are we suppose to think when we see people screaming death to Isreal and dancing in the streets when Americans die in the thousands???? If muslims are so peaceful then why don't they try to show it more??? I see more bad then good....

islam is the religion of peace, terror actions is completely out of islam teachings, don't judge islam and the majority of muslims by the bad minority u see on the biased media!!

edit: i'll give u an example for our prophet(pbuh) who is the best model of islam:
When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) finally entered Makkah at the head of a Muslim army in AH 8, he did so not to force the Makkans to convert, but because they had violated their peace treaty with the Muslims. The Prophet entered with great humility, ordering that there should be no fighting or bloodshed. Instead, he forgave all those who had opposed him and the growth of Islam for so many years. Those who wanted to leave were allowed to do so. The whole city, so impressed by the men they had fought against for so long, converted to Islam.

peace.

Islam IS the religion of peace. The actions you see in the media are of a minority of Muslims who have twisted the faith to suit their needs and politics. Regarding the lack of words - why do we need to defend ourselves all the time? Take a good look at a Muslim going to the masjid (mosque). Many (not all) of these people are God-fearing and good people. I, myself, strive to show a positive image of islam by smiling to people, saying hi when they speak to me, etc. Many of the Muslims are Easterners and come across as rude but it's cultural. I'm a Westerner and so I come across differently of course.

Anyway, if you have questions about the islam the best place to go is to the masjid. Just go inside, take off your shoes, and watch and listen to what happens. Anyone can go and check out the local masjid. It's not off limits.

The same can be true of any faith that hits the media.

People have been doing evil in one God's name of another for thousands of years. Now that we have an army of news reporters and video cameras, who's paychecks are determined by ratings, they go for the most action and drama.

Muslims being good neighbors and behaving themselves is boring. But! you get the one nut job that decides to bring a bomb in a schools house, that's news!

See my point? Best wishes.

I think Christianity is for killing ...............
look at Hitler? killed 6 million
Bush? 1 million
first and second world war 9 million
Hiroshima 300,000 killed
all killed by Christians not bin laden or Saddam but Christian leaders... i am shocked to read Biblical quotes full of sex and killing ,read this.............................................

Death for Adultery

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)
Death for Fornication

A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 NAB)
Death to Followers of Other Religions

Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)
Kill Nonbelievers

They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Yet we don't blame the Bible or the Christian's ,there leaders
who carries out killing ,on the other hand if a Muslim does some thing all Muslim's are blamed...in every aspect double standards..
in USA alone 98% rapist are christian's ,yet we can't blame them ,.............,....................,,,,,,,,,,,,,............................................

There is no central authority in Islam (like the equivalent of the Catholic Pope) to dictate theology and interpretation of the Qur'an.

As such, there are many sects of Islam that are vastly different. They all interpret the law differently-- some are genuinely peaceful and good people, and a very vocal minority are dangerous extremists and terrorists.

Your media focuses on the voilent, angry, and confused. You obviously form your opinion based on what's provided and spoon fed to you on a daily basis. Read alternative scholarly sources on the subject be openminded and try looking at things from an overall prespective. Stop watching t.v.

most people who are islamic that you see on t.v choose to read what they want so they can support there so called attacks for holy war when in fact there killing another man women child and thats murder.. But in reality most of those islams are just crazy and don't even care. In my view there not even religious. They don't even follow it. They are not the only people christians use to do that and still kind of do.
