No, ten years is not that big of a difference for two adults who truly love one another. I need point no further than my grandparents for a good example of this. Both sets of my grandparents were ten years apart in age. Both sets were happily married for over sixty-five years. When my grandfathers finally passed away, their wives were there at their side holding their hands. In my mind, there can be no greater love than the type shared by my grandparents.

So, with that said, if you love him and he loves you, and the two of you can honor and respect one another, then I say go for it!

Best wishes!

Age doesn't usually matter in a relationship on the inside. Its only everyone on the outside it seems to have a problem with it. A guy dating an older woman is more socially acceptable then a man dating a younger girl. In Asian cultures a younger woman marrying an older gentleman is considered an intelligent move.

My wife and I have been married 8 years and she is 15 years younger than I am. Age has never been an issue.

You say he loves you to death and you have the same feelings for him but you tell him you don't love him. Stop hiding behind what other people want you to do. Tell him you love him if that's true.

If you're over 20 and have dated other people then maybe you should consider being with him. If you're under 20 and you really need to wait. You need the date others. Take it a little slow. Learn what else is out there before getting into more committed relationship.

I sort of think it matters. I think up to 5 years older is a good age. 10 would just be awkward. It's like a 5 yr old w/ a 15 yr old. Awkward huh? Lol.

Age shouldn't matter as long as both parties are of legal age. But it seems to bother you. Don't waste his time if you cant get over it yourself.
