If you feel so upset at what you say are lies that the congress and the president used to get us into a war with radical islam then you should leave now. I don't care if there were weapons or not in Iraq. That war ended over 3 years ago. It's not the US against Iraq it's the US against radical islam now. They are the ones that attacked the Cole, and brought down the towers. They are our enemy and the enemy of humanity as a whole. If you can't see that you are trader and need to go join your friends. Your lunatic ideology may indeed drag us all into a global conflict that mankind will lose not just America...

So, if the USA is invaded, will you not defend your land, your family, your friends? There is no draft, you won't be forced to fight in the armed services, so what exactly are you so concerned about? Plenty of us disagree with the decisions the president is making; the thing to realize is that you have the right to VOICE that disagreement without Mr. Bush imprisoning or killing your family in retaliation. You also need to remember that Mr. Bush does not act alone; anything he does needs the approval of Congress, whose members are decided by YOUR vote.

A tough call. Principles must always trump blind chauvinism. Consider the good Germans who opposed the Nazis during WWII. Many of them were instrumental in helping to bring down the Third Reich. Were they traitors? If so, what did they betray? Did they betray their country? Or did they battle against those who betrayed the human principles of the German nation? (You might want to know that succeeding German governments did indeed treat these people as "traitors" and persistently denied their rights.)
Ultimately you will have to judge where your loyalties and opposition must reside. Just keep humanity at the center of your moral analysis.

You are so misled if you believe we attacked our own country. C'mon....... really!
You have a right to protest against what is going on -- that is your right.
Oh, yes, and perhaps you need to think about HOW YOU GOT THAT RIGHT TO PROTEST.
You know, this is a broken record. I believe in the old saying:
"AMERICA, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT."
Why are you here? Scooping up all the benefits of freedom, but not wanting to give anything back?

Though the circumstances of WWIII will surely be more complex than you seem to imagine, and I will not even attempt to argue with the points you make, the fact is this.
Taking up arms agianst your country (of your own accord) while a registered citizen of your country is treason. If captured you will be tried as such and if convicted, put to death.
But the chances are greater you will just get shoved into some prison camp or exectued on the spot.

I am thinking that you are just looking for an excuse to be a treasonous coward. None of what you said is true, in fact, the things that you've stated...starting with the US attacking the US on 9/11 is total crack-pot talk.
If you are going to be against the US...then just leave now. We don't want you, need you, or care about your anti-American chit-chat.

I'm a born and raised American too, but if we start another dumb *** war I'm packing my bags for Canada. Think about it:
A surplus budget for the past 7 years.
Voted as the best country to live in for the past 9 years by the UN.
Universal health care.
The second largest oil reserves in the world (mostly in oil sands, but this will soon become viable).
Shania Twain...:)
Hooray Canada!

I don't share your beliefs, but as an American you're entitled to them. It is not illegal to have your beliefs or to speak them. If you were to commit an act of treason due to your beliefs, that would be illegal.
But if World War III starts, I don't think it's really going to matter whose side you're on. So maybe we should all be on the side of peaceful co-existence.
