Happiness does not rely on possesions...I have been material and now I am on a very limited income. I am greatful that I can keep a roof over my familys head, we eat well and my bills are paid! I am happy with that. I use a bus, a car would be nice but I manage without it. I foun d that by focusing on what I have I am much more positive about things. When I was first unable to work all I could think about was what I couldnt have and I was very unhappy. Now I thank the Gods for my priviledges, which are many compared to some...;

Well, one of the most important things you can do is not compare what others have to what you have. That makes you want it as well and that feeling of 'want' will never satisfy you (at least for a moment until you want something else).

Just cherish the things you currently have and don't concern yourself with others who may seem to have more than you. Remember, life's has its ups and downs, so be happy for what you got.

Be thankful.

Look around you & see all the evil & hate, heartache, & dispair. Read the paper & see the stories about whole families burning up in house fires, parents who's children are shot & killed while going to school. Even though your life isn't great, there are always people out there who are worse off. Try to be happy with what you have. & change what you can in your life to make it better.

Possessions are not the way to happiness.

Find contentment and joy in your own heart.

Happiness is elusive. But peace is easier to find.
