Is it possible to have a sudden allergic reaction to the brand of cigarettes that you've been smoking for the past 4 years?...To get hive-ish looking skin and a 102 fever? The doctor doesn't know what caused it, just that it is an allergy to something. Any help?

It isn't me. It's my sister that's sick.

I would say its unlikely, but anything is possible. You could be allergic to one of the additives in the cigarettes, which are typically at such low levels that they don't affect you. Maybe you got a pack that had higher levels of that additive.
