TONS! It was thought that I had IBS, but I ended up having celiac disease. They're now starting to say that if you have a diagnosis of IBS, you should be tested for celiac.
Take a look at this page by the National Insitutes of Health on Celiac.
http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/celiac/
If that starts ringing bells, here are a couple of message boards for people with celiac and other gluten intolerances.

Also, I never knew that some of the most common foods are also the most common things that people are either allergic to or intolerant of. So if it's not a gluten intolerance, some of the other things that you may want to consider paying attention to are soy, dairy, yeast and eggs. You can be intolerant to just about anything though, so sometimes when you're trying to figure something like this out, it's a good idea to keep a food diary for a while just so you can try and identify what the pattern is, if any.
Well, I hope you start feeling better soon.

Define "new info." I do know that fried chicken irritates my mother's IBS, and dairy gets mine and my brother's pretty badly. I have had far fewer problems since I started eating healthfully and drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day!
