You'd think they would want to die and get to heaven quicker.
After all, god has a purpose for everything and he must have made them sick for a reason

Since it is God's follower who are so Hell-bent (pardon the pun) on stopping science, then those of you who say that God created science are hypocrites. They thank God because they're under the delusion that God is the one who spent the vast majority of his existance in a lab calculating, trying, failing, and trying again and again and they forget that that the people who found and administered the cure are the ones who have dedicated their lives to helping improve the quality of health and life of everyone else (as opposed to those who go into the medical profession because it pays a lot) are the ones who actually made it all happened. Yeah, God might exist and yeah that would make God the creator of the illness and the componants of the cure, but its the people the actually make the journey to discover them - such discoveries that were, and for the most part, still are - shunned by the church.

People should thank both. It is appropriate to thank God when something good happens, because as James 1:17 says, "every good gift and every perfect present is from above, for it comes down from the Father". Don't forget to thank the Doctor who worked hard to prolong the life God gave you!

They know who sent the Right doctor to them. And if they are not cured it is their time to go where ever their life has guided them to go heaven or hell. Matthew 7:13 enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction. And many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road leads to life, and only a few find it!

Some people are cured directly by God without any doctors. But God created the cure, and allowed the doctors to find it.

My personal experience is long but I will condense it. I had N.H. B-cell Lymphoma, stage 3 and very aggressive. I believe chemo is poison 100% ... for me. I did no treatment, I left it to God. A christian friend of mine just happened to be in a health food store and a man was buying a bottle of Cell-Forte' and telling the clerk he had lung cancer and was doing very bad with chemo until another patient told him about it. My friend got all the info for me and it works. In 2001 the doctors told me I had from 9 mths to a year to live. I am now CANCER FREE and able to enjoy my grandbabies. Who do I thank? GOD!!! I also thank God for doctors and do give them credit for what part they play, remember that God gives them the knowlege and the knowlege of science. God is in control of everything. God loves to hear us thank him and praise him.

Because God created science and He gave us this knowledge about it. But of course we have to thank to doctors for their care and help. But thanking to God and a doctor is very different.
ps while we are talkin about doctors, Grateful Fred you need some mental help man!

Yesua (Jesus) answer to Pontius Pilate - while he suggested to Him "do not you answer me, that have potential of life and dying over you?" - exchange into ::you does not have any potential over me if it had not BEEN GIVEN to you". in addition, i could say the guy (i did not see the video) ought to have been thinking a similar. If God would not elect it that way, not even technological know-how ought to shop everybody.

fred must not have much to do with his life if he has that much time to make fun of God. God gave doctors the tecnology and equipment to do the things that are possible today and even with that if he wanted to he take that persons life or let them live. God is in control and if i were u i would develop a healthy fear.
