No but for real Like what is the chemical process in the brain that makes you hear/see things..ect ect..Or is it from lack of Oxygen like he said., I need to see facts people..Now where did i put that pipe....

You aren't really hallucinating, you're dreaming while awake. Your mind will demand REM sleep if you've been akwake for too long, and will begin REM even if you are still awake.There was a radio dj in NY who once went on a sleep strike for charity, and was hooked up to an eeg for the duration by neurologists b/c they didn't want to lose the chance to study him. They discovered that, after a certain number of hours, his brain waves began to look like a person's in REM sleep. The dj was talking like he was somewhere else, hallucinating, and acting really weird. He was dreaming while wide awake! He ended up suffering brain damage from the sleep deprivation, and lost his wife, his job, etc...

I'm going to try to find the guy's name... I'll post it when I find it.

there are a variety of reasons, the most likely one for you is that you have thrown off the REM sleep cycle in your brain. This causes a cascade effect that effects both dopamine and serotonin which are both neurotransmitters in the brain that, among other things, control mental and emotional health. In fact medications that are used to treat Schizophrenia stabilize the dopamine system in the brain and eliminate the hallucinations. When you deprive your brain of sleep, your brain starts to use dopamine faster than it can be replaced causing hallucinations. At least that was the was it was explained to me in graduate school 20 years ago.

I'm a truck driver and let me tell you sleep depervation can do all kinds of things to you. Your body requires a certain amount of sleep to keep funcitioning in its normal capacity. However, due to the lack of oxygen is why you start to hallucinate! Your body will shut itself down weather you want it to or not after a certain amount of time (passing out) I would suggest you go take a power nap or 2!

I think the hallucinations are from lack of dreaming, your body needs REM sleep to get the rest you need, during REM you do tons of dreaming. So basically your body is wanting to dream when you are awake.

it's fun! Didn't you ever pretend when you were a little one? That mind of yours wants to stay active and it operates on more than one level at a time, subconsciously, that is, you're not keeping up. Or else it's ALL THE DRUGS!!
