I spent over an hour reading the article and the comments by viewers . The bravado displayed by citizens of other countries, reminds me of my days overseas. The rest of the world under-estimates our will and strength . This is a war-game, but this 'game' is not for fun . It's to prepare for the inevitable destruction of Iran's nuclear capability, plain and simple .

Iran just recently finished a wargame in the persian gulf. America pulled out the ships for a few days, most likely, to give them room and not cause an iccident.

Now, America is just going back into the Persian Gulf which has been a common patrol area of the USN since '91 and before. The Navy being there shows Iran we are close.

It's just a show of force. But the Iwo Jima and Boxer are not aircraft carriers, so the number of carriers hasn't changed, just some additional ships have been added to the fleet.

Just slightly exaggerated.

And I bet you will be saying the same thing the next time we rotate the carriers in the Gulf.

Maybe not. Maybe we're ready to address the problems there, in a big way. I hope so.

Also, I'm not terribly comfortable with the source you cite.
