Yes because you don't have a verfiable work history. There are certian jobs that do hire people without work experience. Newspapers, grocery stores, restaurant and sometimes hotels will hire people without any experience. Many employers don't like dealing with child labor laws, but understand that people need to start somewhere. If you are older without job experience, people wonder WHY? Were you a stay at home mom? In prison? Living with your parents until you were 30? A person should have an answer. A good one is "I was in school."

You should bring letters of introduction with you. But seriously, if you are willing to work - you can find a job.
