Hey People, this is kind of a strange question, but I know this girl, and she has an awesome fun to be around personality and she is actually good looking. But she is wicked tall for our age (even taller than the guys!!). We are in the 9th grade, and our friends all have boy freinds. Are boys intimidated by tall girls? Because I am starting to feel bad for this girl, because all of us have boy friends and she is always telling me she really wants one, and she asks me why nobody ever asks her out!

I don't think your friend should worry too much. By this time next year the boys will have shot up in height. She should focus on becoming the best person she can be, not waste time worrying about having a boyfriend. Ninth grade is a wonderful time to explore all kinds of interests, in and out of school. I was VERY tall in 9th grade, 5' 9", but it all works out. I met a boy on the yearbook staff who shared my interests and we had a great time.

Um... I'm tall and have even taller friends. Guys can be, but if somebody likes her her height won't stop him from asking her out unless he's a sh*thead, or he has sh*ty friends.
But seriously, not having a boyfriend is absolutly fine. In tenth myself, never had a boyfriend. Its hard when everyone else does, but make sure that as a friend you always tell her she doesn't need one. Most of my friends who are in the later highschool years don't have boyfriends cuz they had dumb relationships in 9th and 10th, and now want mature relationships. Finding the right guy is haaard in a limited pool so you and your friend shouldn't rush it!

I am 5'11" and once or twice have dated women taller then me, even though I have always had a soft spot for 4'11" - 5'2" if I like you that is all that matter.
I had a women tell me once, "You are the same size laying down." That is the truth even thoug I don't recommend or endorse a 9th grade girl or guy laying down with anybody at this stage in her life. Take that statement a sign of hop later when she is an adult. Ok, I am getting off my soap box now!

Well, I'm taller than almost all of the guys I know, and I'm taller than 98% of the boyfriends I've had. I'm about two inches taller than my current boyfriend. I've never had a problem. But, I'm not sure how tall "wicked tall" exactly is.

Yes, guys are intimidated by tall girls - some guys anyway. My first real "girlfriend" was 6' tall. (I'm 6'2") I had no problem with this but she told me about how difficult it was for her going to dances and such....
She was really attractive and was a lot of fun!

guys probably r intimidated by her height because guys like to feel dominate over the girl, so if she's taller than him then the guy loses the domination.
