In the future, if you have a partial-box of brown sugar, put an apple slice in the box or bag. The apple keeps the sugar soft. You do not need to change the apple out!

I personally don't mess with fixing lumpy brown sugar. I throw it out and go back to the store for more.

I heat it in the microwave in for about 5 seconds, and then check it, and repeat the process until it is the correct consistancy.

I beat it with a spoon,and then sometimes,I want to swear! JK! Try micrwaving it for a few seconds,maybe.
