Is this rape... If a guy you're very close to (not related) wants to have sex with you(even if he is 42 years older than you) and you let him?

If you're not at the legal age of consent, then yes, it is rape.

You need to state your age and where you live to get a correct answer.
Here in the US, it's not rape unless it's either forced sex, or the girl is 14 or under.
It can be "statutory rape" under 18, but it's not exactly the same as rape.
A girl 14 or younger is considered to be so immature that she can't legally consent.
In other words, if you're under 18, and he's 18+ one day or more, he can still get in trouble legally.
But whether or not it's "rape" is a bit more complicated.

If he is 42 years old, the he is in his 60 at least! You didn't want to really have sex with him did you? Call your local rape crisis hot line. You need to talk to someone just so you can get your feeling straighten out.

If you're under 18 (16 in some states, so go wild), or if it's against your will. Only one of those two criteria. I mean, if you're 23 and you think 42 is ewwwwww yuk too old, it's not rape.

Sweetheart please think more of yourself than this. You gave yourself to this man Your age does come into this. because of the legal age of consent. I would examine what made you do this. This Guy doesnt love you not in the sense that matters. He took a distinct advantage. Did you use any means of birth control? if not then you need to get checked. You seem to me to be looking for a love that perhaps wasnt given to you by your father. This man certainly took advantage of that and you should never trust him again. Please Please hun get help with your self esteem problems. Check the age of consent in your state if you are under that legal age he molested and raped you nomatter what you said to him. the law says you are not mature enough to make a decision like that at certain ages. This man should be stopped NOW report him as soon as you can if you are under age. if not avoid all contact hun your being used.

In my eyes it is not rape because you consented to sex, however in the eyes of the law if you are under age it is statutory rape and he could be jailed.

First of all how old are you girl. and it is not rape if you let him because that was your decision. now if he force you that's another story. and if you are under 18 yes it is rape and you shouldn't have done it if you are under age.

It depends in this case upon YOUR age, too. If you are 17 or less, YES, IT IS RAPE, even if you consent. The law makes it statutory rape.;o)

it depends on how old you are. in most states if you are under 18 than yeah that is rape. but even if you are over 18 that is still just disgusting.
