Yes I have felt myself becoming addicted but have been trying to keep it under control. It is an expensive habit and I try to wait until I get to work where the coffee is free. Of course the coffee at work is not nearly as good as a caramel machiatto. I have noticed at every Starbux that the lines and traffic grow increasingly congested over time, because in fact it is a physically addictive product and many people, including myself (and obviously you) have trouble controlling the urge. The chain is expanding rapidly, and bottom line, I recommend buying the stock. Current trends point out that the stock price increase could make you money... enough to offset the expense of the habit.

You would not believe the mania over Dunkin Donuts coffee in the Northeast. It's sad, really. There are so many of those brown and pink gigs around here it seems you can't drive three blocks without seeing one. And the worst part about it, THEY ALL HAVE ENOUGH CLIENTELE TO SURVIVE!!!!
And if it were not enough, there's the OTHER big donut giant: Honeydew Donuts. Not as big, but give it a few years....
To make matters worse, both coffees suck! For myself, nothing better than a mocachino with ground cinnamon and Sugar in the Raw. Starbucks all the way!

I go to Sheetz. They have good coffee and it's cheaper than Starbucks. I like Vanilla Latte or Mocha Buzza'chino.
Starbucks is right next store to my volunteer job, but the lines are too long and the coffee doesn't taste as good.

I hate Starbucks, they charge too much, and the quality is just not that good.
However I am a Barista, and I love using my knowledge of the Art of Espresso, to make a perfect mocha every time.
My personal favorite is a white chocolate irish cream mocha.
When I make it on my machine at home, I love adding lots of real irish cream to my mocha :)

Starbucks is very overrated. I got their regular coffee and it's so bitter. They pretty much serve glorified hot chocolates with coffee in them.
If you get one per day @ $4, your paying $80 for your coffee/month. That's $960/yr. on coffee drinks. Save that $1000 and look on google for recipes that are easy and are the same as theirs.
We use good coffee and have a $20 hot frother and we make it with light milk and we save a ton of money and they're better tasting than Starbucks.

I go there because they have the New York Times and a place to sit and read it. The coffee sucks. I usually get an iced latte which is tolerable with all that milk thrown in.

I hate coffee, love the smell though. Starbucks hot chocolate is too bitter...like it has coffee in it. I much prefer the hot chocolate at Exxon. ...but my all-time favorite is the recipe on the Hershey cocoa can. ...although it isn't very convenient at work.

I can't see paying a fortune for a cup of coffee. You wouldn't believe how rich the people at Starbucks are! AND they have the nerve to raise the price of their coffee right after there huge profits were publicized. Now that's greed.
