I know exactly what you mean and how you feel! I'm old enough to remember the days when this was called "assistance" and that's all it was. Now, because the laws have been changed, it's become a way of life for several generations of the same family.

Back in "the day", you could only receive "assistance" for a predetermined length of time. During that time, you had to prove you needed it, prove you were looking for work (the agents actually took the time to check) and if you were stupid enough to have another child while you were on "assistance", the amount was lessened.

The laws and rules are much too lax these days and it really ticks me off, too! I have no problem with anyone receiving it as an aid during some hard times. It's when they're lazy and greedy that I get steamed.

But, you don't always know the whole story just by looking at someone. It sounds like you know this person well enough to know what she's really up to though. You're right, it is (in a way) your money she's grabbing.....I would be tempted to alert the local welfare agency as to what is REALLY going on with her.

Good Subject!

I think that your absolutely right. Now I understand that sometimes things happen in life and people that don't have family may have to get help from the govt. and I'm o.k. with that. But if comes a time when you have to take that bottle of milk out of your mouth and start eating table food. Get off your lazy butt get a job and do something with your life. If your not married and you know that you can't afford children, lock it up or wrap it up so you won't have any. It sickens me to see a person (black, white or what ever race) to keep having all these babies sitting at home all day not working, not going to school and there tired lazy baby daddies sitting right there with them with no job, no car, no money but yet you think he's the best thing that ever happened to you. Oh please, how can you be a good example for your children when your life consist of watching stories all day, parting all night and hanging out in the projects. I know some people that don't even use their food stamps they sell them, it's really really sad. Wake up people do something with your life.

It makes me sick to see people use the system like that. Of course it is some of your business. It is yours and my money that is supporting someone who isn't working, especially when given the opportunity to better her life. She sounds like she doesn't want to work because she gets more money staying at home and living on welfare than she would working. I think when the government send you to school and you get your education, they should stop your income and expect you to work. Why didn't she get a degree in something that she could get a job? I have an idea that she didn't want a job in the first place. I could stay on this soap forever, but I won't. I have seen this same thing happen over and over and I wonder why the government continues to pay these people. We all work and take care of children and she has been given to opportunity to do that also and it sounds to me like she is just a free loader.

It enrages me.

It makes me so mad to know that I get up every morning and go to work, pay my bills on time, and have only so much money for "extras." Why should I, a hard working, tax paying, law abiding citizen get screwed so some welfare mother can sit home on her *** sucking off the government teat? I'd suggest reporting her, not that that will do anything except make you feel a little better. What was the point of her using our money to go to school if she isn't going to repay the favor by pitching in taxes? F-ing *****. People like that make me want to slap them.

I feel the same way as you do. every time i get a paycheck and see how much in federal and state taxes they deduct i get really mad and think of all them people on welfare and all those government funded programs.there isnt really anything we could do to stop this.
it gets me even more mad that im a tax payer and yet the government wont give me financial aid to go to college.now aint that a B i t c h.guess all the poor are going to be successful and all the hard working people are going to be poor.

I totally agree with you. I mean she went to college to be someone, and she graduated she MUST find a job out there. We live in the US for crying aloud. Make me a favor told the woman to get a job and to stop living on other people taxes, there are other people that really need that money, and for people like her they don't get the help.

Usually there is a time limit on Welfare. The government knows that abuses happen a lot. So they do have a system of checks and balances and trust me, she will be found out.

Shes obviously working the system. I undestand why this bothers you so since you and I as taxpayers are paying for her to sit on her as*.
Call social services and explain the problem. She is obviously educated and the job she does get doesnt necessarily HAVE to be in her chosen profession. Complain.
In Cali, I know they have programs that make people on state help get jobs or an eduaction in order for them to get on thier feet. They need to comply in order to even remain on aid.

I agree, someone should report her... I see a bunch of people who are living the life off of tax payers... If she's really poor then it'd be alright, but from the sound of it, she's s ucking us tax payers dry.
