Padres is parents. The singular form, padre is father, mother is madre, daughter is hija and son is hijo. If you want more abuela is grandmother, abuelo is grandfather, aunt is tia, uncle is tio, cousin is primo and prima the feminine form of it. Nephew is sobrino and sobrina the feminine form. Studying spanish as second language is very useful. As spanish is a latin language it may help to understand many words in italian and portuguese and even in french. It can even can be of use to stablish a limited conversation with people speaking those languages. Go on studying spanish as a way to improve yourself.
