Not at all. Your body will only do what it can and any given time, though you will see vast improvement the more you put in to it. I've had students in there 80's. After a few weeks, it's amazing.

Get to a school now! Don't wait just go and give it a fair shot.

No upper age limit. You can begin to train at any age, this is not to say you will catch on as quickly as the younger people do. But martial arts are about the self, do not judge your progress against the progress of others.
I have helped train beginners in there 70's.

Of course there may be issues with a technique or two in relation to what your body can and cannot do ( with everyone, not just seniors)
if you can't do something it is OK, just find a different technique to do.

I do caution seniors to find a school that is willing to work with them, visit all your options and choose the one you feel most comfortable with.

I got a kick out of the one that is going for his yellow belt and feels old at 23.

Tae Kwon Do schools are more than likely in your area. My suggestion is stop by one and speak to the instructors. I have been in class with people as young as 5 and people as old as 94. There are things the 94 year old body can not do but a good instructor will be able to work with a 94 year old and develop a different technique that would allow that person to develop good habits. There are also several styles of Tae Kwon Do and different organizations. Choose the one that makes you feel most confortable. This is a great Huband and Wife workout, or father/son mother/daughter and so on.

Nah, I knew a Master who started well into his 40's and never quit studying or teaching till the day he passed away at 85.

So no as long as you feel fit enough to study a Martial Art, then do it, but if there's any doubts I'd consult a physician first to be on the safe side just as a precaution.

but otherwise, good luck; and good training. I hope you find a school and discipline that'll suit you.

and look at Helio Gracie he's 94 yrs old and still doing JuJitsu, so I'd say your good to go man.

There are passive arts and aggressive arts. Try a passive martial art like Tai Chi Chuan. You can do the movements, feel great, and improve your health and dispositon. No need to study Karate or other aggressive arts unless you need to take someone out.

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art and you can do that at any age, so the answer to your question is No.

I would say no. I'm only going up for my yellow belt in my style, which is only the 2nd belt after white. I became a white belt about 2 years ago, and I'm 23 now.
