make a bread copy of the lamb? Do you think I could have gotten away with it when the Angel flew over?

No. Do you think you are clever enough to "pull the wooll" over God's eyes?

For the 1st Passover the "Blood of the Lamb" had to be applied to the outer door post of your home. It did not say you "..had to eat the lamb.." The angel would have passed you by if you obeyed God and put the blood of the lamb on you door post, as it was instructed to the head of each household

First...the angel didn't fly over. The term used for Passover is the same term as to cover protectively (as a hen passes her wing over her chicks), God passed over those who were marked by the blood of the lamb and saved them from the destroyer.

Only those who had the blood of the lamb on the lintel, doorposts & basin of their home were protected.

So no, bread would not have done it.

I think that would have been more aesthetically pleasing. I mean...smearing blood all over your door is just gross. Can you imagine how that must have smelled out in the desert under the hot sun? Nothing quite like the smell of rotting meat to whet the appetite. No wonder the angel passed over those doors. I wouldn't have gone near it either.

Yes so long as you Smeared Blood on your doorway so that the Angels of your Loving God of Peace missed your house as they flew around Murdering All the firstborn Egyptian Children in their sleep.

I see this question was well answered about the blood, so I'll add that your error is of the same magnitude of Cain's. Without the shedding of blood, there is no relief from sin(s).

You would have been fine as long as you were in the house, under the blood. Hope that makes you happy.

well, the PASSOVER had to do with lamb's BLOOD...read your Bible, and you would have your fact straight, and would not have asked such a silly question.

You didn't have to eat it, you just had to slaughter it and put its blood on your door.

Pretty civilized stuff.
