No, God is going to destroy sin so that the universe will be free from this maligant pestilence. Sinners who have rejected God's call will only be destroyed because they insist on clinging to the sin that is going to be destroyed. Satan will be destroyed for this same reason. God gave him the opportunity to repent of his sins. Instead he openly rebelled and hardened his heart toward the loving Creator.

What you believe bothers me, I realize we cannot converse here but you could email me, so I will make the attempt to understand you. You think fear is a bad thing and we who follow Gods teachings let fear rule our lives? Fear is not bad, it keeps us from ending our lives prematurely. We believe God made us in his image out of love, but we turn away from that love more often than not out of doubt which is the greater evil. That we can chose to doubt by glorifying sin is what condems us, not Gods action. however thru his son Jesus, all we need to do is ask for redemption and when he sees that we mean it, its like the action never happened. Thats not fear working for us, thats love. What your refering to are teachings of the anti-christ and his reign ends in the fire, not we who trust love.

My prayer is that you may echo in the near future, this Psalm [119]
I hate those who are undecided about you,
but my choice is clear-I love your law.
You are my refuge and my shield;
your word is my only source of hope.
Get out of my life, you evil-minded people,
for I intend to obey the commands of my God.
Lord, sustain me as you promised, that I may live!
Do not let my hope be crushed.
Sustain me, and I will be saved;
then I will meditate on your principles continually.
But you have rejected all who stray from your principles.
They are only fooling themselves.
All the wicked of the earth are the scum you skim off;
no wonder I love to obey your decrees!
I tremble in fear of you;
I fear your judgments.
Fear is not all bad. It depends on whether you are condemned or convicted.

Everything good that you have in your life comes from God, is a small reflection of the nature and character of God. The truth is that you don't live your life completely outside the influence of God.
Because God is holy, we cannot live in his presence in our sinful nature. Through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God offers us the forgivness of our sins, so that we can live with him for eternity. Satan chose to go his own way and has rejected God. He has chosen to spend eternity apart from God and all that God represents. He will spend eternity in hell.
You too have a choice. You can choose to accept the forgiveness God offers and enter into a relationship with God, or you can choose to reject his forgiveness and die in your sin--sin that has separated you from God's holiness.
The power for your eternity is in your own hands. Use it wisely.

I don't believe that Satan is an actual entity. I think Satan is an idea - of suffering and doubt and basically everything that we don't like about being human.
I think by God casting Satan into the Lake of Fire, it was meant that he was just going to do away with the negative parts of our humanity.

It is written already. God revealed what He is going to do and that is Satan is going to be thrown into the lake of fire.

Why do people who don't believe in God spend so much time and energy speaking against Him?

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"
