I know there is peanut butter, and pumpkin, but isn't the base of all of it chocolate?

Okay. I think people are getting a little confused here...

I think that most people refer to FUDGE as a confection (candy) that we eat. It is made primarily of cream, confectioner's sugar, and milk products. You can add many different flavorings to it, like vanilla, mint, peanut butter, etc... check out this website here for FUDGE flavors...http://www.fralingers.com/

But, some people refer to fudge as a CHOCOLATE flavor. Like Fudge cookies, Chocolate fudge filling. Depends on where you live, and the terminology you use!

BTW, fudge is delicious in any flavor!

Your mom is right, there's all kinds of fudge... and they don't have to be chocolate. I made peanut butter fudge before. (there's no chocolate at all in this recipe)

there's even Pineapple Fudge, Pumpkin Fudge and Cookies 'n' Creme Fudge.. there's many kinds you can make
