Yes, despite what some others may have written, it IS a religion. It is the old religion, rooted in the cycles of the growing season.
Your journey through Wicca is a personal one. Begin by visiting your nearest library. "Chatting" on the Internet is not the best first step. Read the books (there are several) and then decide for yourself. No amount of any kind of "chatting" or "messaging" can answer your heart's questions.

Witchcraft and Wicca are the same thing. Go to a library and read. Wicca is a spiritual road that is traveled differently by each one of us. Silver Raven Wolf is an excellent author. She Makes it easy to understand and she will help you determine how best to go forward. Stay away from books you have trouble understanding. Beware those who say things like, "You'll go to Hell for that!" They are deceived and do not know their God personally.
Ultimately, you must find out exactly what you want to know. The Craft has no ultimate dogma such as the Bible or Talmud, but it IS very complex and there is much ground to cover within.
