from their home for an hour? I really don't think so. I think it is a big excuse to do whatever the heck they want to do and it definitly does not include worshipping God. What do you think?

You are probably right, going to church keeps you accountable, and accountability is a good thing. Otherwise you are more apt to slip away from God and your walk with him.

Although fellowship with other Christians is a good thing, it helps you grow, learn, help, be helped, it is not necessary for a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. There are many who do not have that privilege. Some are home bound and cannot get out. Some live in regions in the world where it is impossible or forbidden. Some people live too far away from a church to go every Sunday - yes even here in the United States. Some have to work during assigned church hours - they go on alternate times or days or spend their time with God at home. It's not up to us to judge a person on the basis of whether or not they attend church - it is between them and God.

I think you better be getting on your knees and worshiping God whenever you feel the urge. And with how judgemental you're being, you better feel the urge to get on your knees right now and ask for forgiveness. People can worship God anytime, anywhere. Sunday morning church was first created in Acts for the believers who were left after Jesus went back to Heaven. It is a social gathering for believers to uplift each other, keep each other accountable, and to not feel alone in the world. It is not your excuse to forget about God for the rest of the week. Hypocrite!

roflmao. Why do you need to go to church to worship a god? Why does the location matter? If your god is omnipotent and omnicient then something so ridiculous shouldn't be a requirement because the god will KNOW that you're loyal and that you believe and do as instructed.

Won't he?

Honestly....

I don't go to church precisely because the idea of worshipping anything at all seems silly to me.

I don't think God is in the church, I'm bettin He hears me better when I'm in the woods talking to Him. I do go to church though, just don't feel its necessary for salvation.

They can do what they want and it is none of your business.
