I am so sleepy all the time. I can nap for about 4 hours then it's 9 10 and I can go back to bed for your real nights sleep. I wakeup in the morning and I'm still having trouble getting out of bed. I was wondering if anybody knew a good vitamin or something that could help keep you more engerized. I dont want to resort to caffine or anything like red bull. Just something that is more natural.

Thanks for reading

There could be a number of problems. A few could be mono or anemia. I suggest going to the doctor and having a few tests done to be on the safe side before trying to find something to energize you. Good luck!

If you're fortunate enough to have health care and can get to a doctor, please do so. If you're a student, go to student health services. You'd want to rule out things like depression, malnutrition (if you've been dieting or too busy to eat properly)narcolepsy, leukemia, mononucleosis, thyroid problems, etc. Sometimes autistic spectrum disorders such as Asperger's causes fatigue. Check into it, Especially if your sleepiness is a recent thing. If you don't have access to health care where you are, check on the net for free health care in nearby large cities, and clinical trials.

Get to your Dr. ASAP! It could be sleep apnea, which is very serious. Sleep apnea is when you stop breathing during your sleep. You wake up because your brain isn't getting oxygen and start breathing again, but unfortunately, you never get a deep sleep. That's why even after hours and hours of sleep, you can still feel tired. It can also be thyroid, depression or many other things, but get it checked out.

You could have a thyroid or other health condition.

You could be anemic, in which case you need iron.
If you are under a lot of stress, you could be lacking in B vitamins.

I have some serious health issues, so I"m usually low on energy. I"ve started taking a B complex with iron and it has helped my energy tremendously.

Good luck!

You need to talk to your doctor. It can be anything, especially if this "tiredness" is new. Thyroid, obesity, depression, and lack of exercise are just a few common reasons; but you need to rule out organic causes first. Get thee to a physician.

Sleeping so MUCH could be the source. I would contact your local docter though anyway and tell him the whole story and when it started.

It could actually be more than just being tired. I think you should go to your doctor...tell him how you are feeling...he may run some tests......Its possible for many things to cause this.
