You can tell through his actions towards you. If he always come back for you when he needs it, and abandons you when he has everything, then you know that he is using.

if a guy ISN'T using you, then he cares, and will do things that shows he cares, like opening doors or doing gentlemen things,
he will care when you are hurting, and that you should be able to tell, if you a re concerned about how he feels, then you should tell him, and see how he reacts and if it is sincere or not, he could be a good actor too, so test his actions constently for a little while, quietly, ask your friends that are there, don't listen to them to run your life but take in there opinions ....sorry i couldn't be more of a help

If you have a reasonable reason to suspect a guy is using you, then he probably is.
However, a best practice would be to wait and find a good guy, later in life, when proprities are better aligned and maturity reveals itself.

I don't know but a good friend of mine actually has one of her friends he doesn't know hit on him to see how he reacts. Also, if he only wants to be with you at certain times or when its convenient for him only them tell him to get lost. Feelings have to be mutual and it has to be a 50/50 type thing or c-ya!

if u fone them and they seem pre occupied and ask to fone u bck, if they call u 'honey' or 'babe' all the time, if they prefer having sex to just talking...in other words they're not really interested in getting to know you as a person
