Im 21 years years old and I have a really bad short term memory. Today I went to get a drink of orange juice and I dont really remember getting the cup or pouring it but I was about to drink it and I looked at the cup kind of in surprise and I wondered why I got a coffee cup to get orange juice because they are located in different areas of the kitchen. And the coffee cups are generally only used for coffee. So it was kind of strange and I wondered if I poured the orange juice into a dirty cup that was sitting on the counter but drank anyways and found out the cup was clean. Does this sound like a normal thing? Or is it something that is kind of strange and someone I should see about? Let me know what you think please.

that kind stuff happens to me all the time, I think it's because I've got alot on my mind or maybe I'm just day dreaming. I don't think it's anything to worry about it's just the stresses of life causing us to zone out for a minute.

luv kby xx

Well I am not a doctor, but I don't think you need to see one yet!!
I say :

It depends if your preoccupied thinking about other things then this is probably fine. Also if it was when you first got up in the morning. Most people are a little groggy and not thinking clearly at that point in the day, even moreso if you didn't sleep enough or well.

Now if your doing this sort of thing in the middle of the day then well.... Maybe see a doctor, but I would just try to pay a little more attention to detail first before I go running off to some doctor.

you have to see a doctor.

also consider this: aspartame is held responsible for short term memory loss. aspartame is found as a sugar alternative (in diet coke for example)

I'm normally anti-doctors, but I would have that checked out if I were you. Better to be safe than sorry! GOOD LUCK!!!
