I do not know exactly where you live, but I would suggest using witchvox.com to locate a Wiccan clergyperson near you to show you the ropes. You don't have a true coven until you have an actual high priest/ess and more than 5 members (2-5 members is considered a "circle" by most).

As far as meetings go, you are right, the full moons are ideal. It would also be VERY important to meet up during the eight sabbats of the year. Optionally, you could choose to also meet during the new moons, but only some groups observe this.

I can tell you that your responsibility as a high priest includes writing, editting, and compiling the group's grimoire, which is separate from personal grimoires. It would also be your responsibility to perform handfasting (marriage), handparting (divorce), and funeral rites. If you are serious about forming this coven, I would HIGHLY suggest you recruit someone who is very advanced in magick. The more people in the coven, the more powerful magick may become, but it is EXTREMELY dangerous if you consider yourself the high priest without giving regard to the responsibilities that come with priesthood.

Good luck on your quest and blessed be.

No, you can only be the High Priest, technically if you are second or third degree initiate of a previous coven. If it is mostly Wicca, you might consider it being equal partnership to begin with and see where you go from there.

Timing is up to you. It can be full moons, which are called esbats, or new moons, or the first monday of every month like moots, which are Pagan gatherings for discussions and things. Or you could keep it to the sabbats. The next one is yule. Or you could meet simply when you are all free.

If you are all new to it, I would start slowly, deciding what you all want to get out of it, deciding if you are going to have a group Book of Shadows, or all have your own, if you aill all be skyclad, or naked, or all in clothes or robes, what materials you will each bring, like candles, herbs, stones, tools etc...

With three of you, you can call it a coven, but personally, I would call it a group or circle. You can also decide if you will revere certain Gods and Goddesses, or just one deity, or none.

Good Luck!

Um...I don't think it necessarily makes you the high priest, and no offense, but if you aren't even sure how a coven works, you probably shouldn't be a high priest anyway! Seriously, if you have to ask Y/A when you should meet with your coven and what you need to do as high priest, you honestly need more training.

Seriously. Please. Get more training. Find a coven that is already established and ask them for guidance and teaching. Generally you have to be initiated into a high priest/priestess role. You can't just say, "So there's three of us, and I guess that makes me the high priest."

Also, are there any women in this coven? Clearly you aren't and your uncle isn't. Is you cousin? Not that you "must" have women in your coven, but remember that Wicca is about balance, right? So if it's three men, you could really end up out of balance. Just saying.

Bright blessings!

Being a High Priest or High Priestess means certain things, and those things may be different depending on what Tradition you follow.

In the lineage Traditions, you must be initiated into the Priest/esshood, and further initiated into being an Elder/High Priest/ess.

In some groups (usually eclectic), the position of High Priest/ess is awarded by the coven/group members. In some, the position passes from one person to another at specific times (after a year and a day, for example).

In general, being HP is a mark of education, training, and the ability to pass along the tradition to others (initiate others).

So I suggest you learn a LOT more before you decide that you're qualified to be the spiritual leader of this group. You might start with learning about the religion that you think you want to follow.

I recommend you purchase the book Covencraft by Amber K it will help you in many capacities. Depending on your rules and regs as a coven and what tradition you follow, if any. You may either delegate a HP or appoint yourself as HP. You may also decide that all of coven members should take turns as HP or HPS as the case may be.

You may have as many or as few meetings as you deem necessary. Every day is a day for magick.

Usually a HP will set up rules and coven members agree on those rules. Also, the HP will start in high magick rituals and usually decides what those rituals are. If you have study meetings, the HP would decide what you study,

Ummm.... you don't even know what a high priest does? You don't know much about Wicca do you? Before going to create a coven, you might like to actually learn about the religion.

Solstices and equinoxes also. Those are the high worship days. If you want to learn, there are a lot of good books available. Ray Buckland's Guide to Wicca (I may have the title a little wrong, since the book is not right in front of me.) is pretty detailed. On line, Try hallsofavalon.com, and you can communicate with other pagans.

Blessed be.
