My boyfriend and I are both freshmen. Neither of us has ever kissed the opposite sex. We've been together since the beginning of 8th grade, and he's always been pretty shy, especially around me (I guess he's nervous). I've never tried to kiss him, and he's never tried to kiss me, but his best friend told me he says he wants to kiss me. I want to kiss him, too, but I'm afraid of what would happen if I tried. I know for a fact he won't make the first move, he's too shy. I'm okay with that. I don't want to, like, french kiss him or anything. Just a kiss. But I'm afraid if i kiss him, he's going to try to french kiss me. I don't even know if he knows how... I'm scared this could be disaster, but I want to kiss him! If I ask him about it, he might think I'm mad or something, and it would be awkward. Help!

Beings you said you are too afraid shows that you are too immature to be kissing anyone.
Once you get more mature then go for it.
Practice and explore, tell him what you like and what you dont like, if it feels good or not. If you never speak up then he will never know what he's doing right or wrong!!!

Well actually in my point of view since I'd admit I've never kissed a girl due to my shyness.... is that he is afraid that he will be a bad kisser. I mean it is his first time and he wants it to be perfect, but doesn't have the guts because he's not sure how to do it. I suggest you make the move although it may be a bit whoa... it may just get him like in a dazed out dreaming love moment. He would be able to kiss you if you did then. Good luck!

I say go for it. If he's too nervous to make the first move, he'll be too nervous to go ahead with french kissing when you give the first kiss! After you both are comfortable with just kisses, you both can move on to french kissing.
He'll probably be relieved if you do it first!

Stop thinking about so much and just be spontaneous and do it. He will not try to give you tongue, because he doesn't even know how to kiss yet, lol. And don't worry, nothing will go wrong.

Learn together honey. Just give him a quick peck and then see his reaction. You won't know until you try. You'll fumble through and learn like everyone does.
