I am about to buy a condo, but don't want to display my clothes and other items that usually hide behind closed doors. Does anybody have a good suggestion for fixing this, besides the curtain with the rod trick? Thanks!

Use a decorative screen - bifold or trifold. ( 2 or 3 hinged panels )
You can purchase one ( sometimes they are called "Sogi screens ) or make one. Construct 3 - 18"w. by 6'-0"hi rectangular panels using 1"by 1" or 1" by 2" wood framing. Staple gun or use dowels top and bottom to put fabric or an opaque material in frames and hinge them together top and bottom. It will stand on it's own when you stand it with panels slightly zig zagged. Place in front of open closet.

My loft does have doors on the closets, but no doors to the bedroom lol.

To fix this, you may have to hire a carpenter to actually install closet doors. Or, if you're handy with tools, Home Depot or Lowes should have kits that you can buy to install closet doors yourself which include all the hardware needed.

Tell the person your buying the condo from to put doors on the closets or take the price off your contract.

I love a "free standing screen" I made myself or you can go to a place like Pier l Imports, they have them, buy it a bit larger than the closet, stand it away from the closet itself, put a standing mirror behind it that way you have an inexpensive dress area or you could have closet doors installed, one of my customers had me install a rug over his closet, mounted on a 2X2 and tacked up, he had a walk in closet. Good luck!

You could use a soshi screen or room divider placed strategically in front of the closet opening. There's a picture of a soshi screen here: http://www.canadarentals.net/sample-listing.cfm. It's the third picture down.
