I'm not sure if 'native' sounds at all derogatory, but I remember once being told it can be offensive. Otherwise - American Indians, American Spiritualists etc before the influx of Christianity.

Each Nation has their own system of beliefs. You'd do better to research them individually by Nation name (Cherokee, Navajo, etc.) and then look for similarities between all of them.
