Hi -

The HP422 photosmart is a printer offered from Hewlett Packard.

I happened to find the following Digital Cameras on the HP website maybe one of these is what you were looking at.

HP Photosmart M425 Digital Camera takes an SD Memory Stick (sold separately)
Hp PHotosmart E327 Digital Camera takes an SD/MMC Memory Stick (sold separately)
Hp Photosmart M22 Digital Camera takes an SD/MMC Memory Stick (sold separately)

I would recommend looking at http://www.bhphotovideo.com for a reliable on line photography store.

Search for Lexar or Sandisk SD and consider getting the largest storage space you can afford. They start at 256mb and go up in increments, 512mb, 1 gb, 2 gb, 4 gb. Pricing increases as you go up in storage space but you can get 1 gb for as low as $36.95.

Hope this helps

UPDATE:

One other thing to consider when buying your digital camera is where and how you will download the images to look at and share. You may need to buy another device called a Memory Card Reader which you would put the SD stick into and then connect it to your storage device - whether that be a computer or an External Storage Device

Here you go. Everything is revealed.

Memory Upgrade Camera: 16 MB internal memory expandable to 1 GB via Secure Digital (SD)/MultiMediaCard (MMC) slot
Memory slots Camera: 1 slot, Secure Digital (SD) and MultiMediaCard (MMC) compatible
Maximum memory Camera: 1 GB Secure Digital (SD) card or 256 MB MultiMediaCard (MMC);

So to cut through all the jargon, your camera has 16Mb of memory onboard. You can upgrade this to a maximum of 1Gb with an SD Card (Secure Digital) or 256Mb with an MMC Card (Multimedia Memory Card). Don't buy these from a camera shop. You will be ripped off. Either buy on line or go to someone like PC World.

Karaborr M is wrong, the HP 422, as you well know, is a package of camera and docking printer.
