Yes, use pet-friendly shampoo (or mild baby shampoo) and be sure to wrap in a towel to completely dry. I know that most cats freak at the sound (or like mine, the sight) of a blow dryer. Just be prepare to wrap them in a towel and make it like you are petting them dry...don't rub back and forth briskly - they won't thank you for that! Once you start giving them a bath, they will get used to it and come to not mind it, if you make it pleasant and start early enough as a kitten. You might also try the dry pet shampoo that pet stores sell.

I have one cat who plays in the water but won't take a bath, one cat who runs when I start my own shower and my new kitten who is 9 weeks old was bathed at least 3 times before I got him, and he likes to jump into the shower when I am in there and chase the shower droplets! Weird kitten!

Good luck!

It depends on the age of your kittens. I have heard of people bathing kittens as young as 8 weeks old in warm (not hot) bath water and washing them with Dawn dish-washing liquid (be sure to rinse thoroughly) to kill fleas, when there were no other options available. Keep the bathroom door closed and plenty of soft warm towels to swaddle them in once bathed. My kittens are 10 months old and each had to be bathed twice now. The male tipped over a bucket of polyurethane that I didn't even know was in a closet in the garage. After he came inside with it I bathed him and cut out all the remaining fur that had polyurethane clumps so he would not ingest it while grooming himself. The female soiled herself the last time she went to the vet, then peed herself on the way home. I found a bottle of mink oil shampoo and she was so proud of her clean fluffy fur when she dried. It was much less traumatic than the first time she had to be bathed (fleas.) If you are firm but kind and are careful not to give too hot bath water and do not get their eyes wet, they might actually grow to like the experience a bit.

Baby wipes work great for quick kitten clean-ups and the kitten is much happier because it doesn't receive a full body dunking. Although kittens generally don't like being bathed it doesn't hurt them, just be sure to use a mild shampoo that is made for kittens and follow the directions on it (Many have age requirements).

Of course you can, just make sure you use a cat shampoo, NOT for humans or dogs. Some cats take a very dim view of being bathed but if you get yours used to it they will even enjoy it.
You don't need to bath an indoor cat as often, I used to bathe mine about 2-3 times a yr, mostly to help him shed his coat at the seasonal change or if the weather got very hot.
DON'T use anti-flea soap, for that you can use Front Line Spot-on, much better.
And don't, ever, use "cat cologne" on your pet...they hate it!

You do not need to bathe cats. They clean themselves. All they need is to be brushed periodically. How often depends on their fur. Long hair cats like a Persian should be brushed everyday. Cats like Domestic Short Hair only need it about once a week. If your cat got dirty through some sort of mischief you can wipe it off with a damp towel. If the cat just looks dirty and matty and your not sure why, you should have it checked out by your vet. When a cat stops grooming itself it is almost surly a sign that it is sick.

I've had lots of cats in my life, and yes, if trained very early, they can be given a bath. But if you wait too long, it will be more difficult bacause cats just don't like baths.

Cats hate water and are usually terrified of baths.I have kept cats for 20 years and never given any of them a bath, they clean themselves. If they are really dirty try a wet cloth and stroke gently .My friend tried to wash one of her cats in the sink once and got really badly scratched as the cat was desperately trying to get away she never did it again.

yes I bathe my cat. This is what I do.. I fill the bath prior to putting the cat in (the cat is afraid of the running water) I put the cat in a haress. (as I think a regular leash is cruel) the cat is very good, I bathe her, rinse her, dry her, clip her. Hope this works for ya....

yes. kittens can be bathed but don't put them in a bath tub full of water. i've bathed my two kittens in the bathroom or kitchen sink. don't keep them under the running water when you bath them. when your done make sure you have plenty of towls to wrap them in. they may shake but that is their way of keeping warm after being given a bath.

It's wise to bathe a kitten as they can catch colds very quickly
