No. I know alot of people wouldnt drink tap water and they feel why should there pet have to. I give my cats spring water (out of the big water coolers) sometimes. This way its also usually colder too. As long as theyre giving them water, it doesnt matter what kind theyre giving.

It's not bad for the doq, but she should consider giving her dog tap water. It's a fact that tap water is tested more times a week than bottled water is in a year!

Bottled water doesn't have the flouride public water does and as most of us in doggie world know dogs have dental issues too. The dog should have tap water. Sometimes people are so into protecting from the bad elements they forget that exposure to other things help our immune systems become stronger to fight off other bacteria.

Tap water should be best. I mean, most tap water isn't bad for them, and they'll drink out of the toilet bowl anyhow, which comes from the same place as your tap water. Also bottled water is bad for the environment, what with all the plastic involved.

Yes, it is a bit weird. Perhaps, misguided is a better term.

Dogs drink pool water, out of toilets, puddles, you name it. It doesn't hurt them the least.

The fluoride in tap water helps their teeth just like ours.

She's obviously gone over the top with "nothing but the best" for her dog.

I suppose there are worse things than on overabundance of caring...

I bet if the dog was thirsty enough it would drink out of your toilet.... It's a dog for cryin out loud, not a human, I don't think it is weird it's just over indulgent and she has way to much time and money on her hands. Tell her to volunteer at a homeless shelter for a week or two.....

Over the summer we were in serious drought times and my vet advised me to give our dogs bottled water because the chemicals were very concentrated in the tap water due to the drought and we did find out that those chemicals actually fed cancer in one of my dogs. Bottled water all the way. Crazy or not its my way

No...that's just her preference. She must care a lot for her dog. I don't think tap water would really hurt a dog... but I guess it's possible and she's just being on the safe side.

Yes, its a little weird but if she can afford it and prefers it then just let her be. They actually make bottled water specifically for dogs now at pet supply stores so she should use those to make sure her dog stays as healthy as possible.
