Quite often they were attracted to punk because they were an outsider to begin with. Just take the time to get to know them.

Not all punk guys are quiet and weird though. Maybe they are quiet because they don't know you very well, or they are just shy, or they don't know what to talk about.

I though real punk guys were loud and political...maybe you don't know exactly what punk means (hint, hint: they never shop at Hot Topic). In which case...go to Wikipedia and look up 'punk'.
