I believe in "God" as my source, my refuge, my sustainer and the sustainer of all worlds.
I believe in "God" because I cannot believe everything just appeared by accident. Evolution? Sure, maybe but even the idea of evolution requires some form of intelligance to determine a specific process of "elimination" .
When I die, would I leave my body or just fade in emptiness? I have seen, heard and felt too much to think I would go to emptiness, plus Nothing cannot exist anywhere, the has to be Something somewhere.

Good questions. I agree with the previous answer. NO harm in believing in God whether "he" exist or not but harm in not believing and he does exist.

I guess it is good to have a higher power to believe in; to believe that there is a reason for the world and why we are here.

It's hard not to when the truth has been revealed to you. I could go on forever. I will say, "look around you, can't you see," and others will say, "see what? What are you talking about?' Ones man's trash is another man's treasure. You will only begin to see the glory that God shows us everyday once you accept Him and Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you try to prove his existence then you will fail miserably.

Because life is much more than random atoms bashing into other random atoms.

And yes, it's more than mythological beings writing arbitrary rules and smiting rule breakers. Richard Dawkins and the Pope are both ninnies in my view.
