No, I don't agree with you.
I feel everyone is shallow to a degree, and it doesn't have anything to do with conceit. We are only human.
Shallowness is judging the book by it's cover. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
My aunt, long long ago, was the most beautiful girl in town, and she met a man who looked like "Barney Fife", and she fell in love with him.
"Conceit" is a characteristic of the "flesh", and is not from God. Like I said, we are all guilty of being shallow to a degree.
Thank God He has given us His Son to forgive us for our shallowness.

You're right if Humble is the opposite of Conceit and
Fullfilled is the opposite of shallow!

Since there's no evidence of any kind that god exists, or that he gives "gifts" to anybody...
Conceited people are just conceited people, plain and simple. They're conceited all on their own, they don't need any help -- especially from mythological "gods" that don't exist.
Things are usually much clearer and simpler when you look at them rationally and don't invoke supernatural causes -- like bad traits in people. "god" doesn't give them that trait, and the "devil" doesn't make 'em do it -- they're just bad people :(

Every good gift comes from God according to James. Conceit is not good, therefore it does not come from God. It is influenced by this wicked world that is under the control of the Evil one.

Most people I've come across who seem "conceited" have turned out to be just very insecure with something to prove.
