This is highly unlikely. Asbestos has not been used in home construction since well before 1978. In 1978 it became illegal to use asbestos and lead-based paint in contructing houses.

Not likely, even less if it's in Canada, cause they have the strickist builting codes & haven't allowed that stuff since 1970's
