Why are some christians so quick to judge? A homosexual is damned to hell. An alcoholic is damned to hell. A single mother is damned to hell. Yet, all of their sins are not supposed to be viewed any differently than someone who lies to their mother or cross breeds cattle or JUDGES other people? Wouldn't a true Christian love and embrace everyone around them, regardless of their faults? Would a REAL church not turn homosexuals or single mothers away at the door?? I consider myself a Christian, but I'm tired of judgemental people making MY religion look bad.

"I'm going to make a good judgement and stay away from them?" WHA?!?!?! Why? You think you're going to "catch" it? Single-mothering and homosexuality aren't contagious, people..You don't have to "stay away."

It is not up to me to judge, when judgement day comes that will be Gods place.

My church would not turn anyone away who wants to worship, maybe this is something you need to be discussing with your minister.

Not all sins are judged alike. Jesus even said so when he was talking to pilot. He told him the man who handed Him over to pilot has the greater sin. THE GREATER SIN. ok so some sins are worse than other.

And no a True Christian would LOVE all people, but not embrace all people. Turn away from the wicked, but love them. Dont associate yourself with them. Because they will lead you away from the faith.

I dont understand what you mean when you say dont "judge" people. To judge someone means to decide for yourself if they personally are going to hell or not. It does not mean that you cant say o that person is a grave sinner and refuses to repent, im going to make a good judgement and stay away from them.
No church should ever turn anyone away at the door. Because if they want to go to church, then mabye they want to change their ways. But we dont encourage their sin and act like everything is ok. That would be a sin in of itself.

God bless,
Shane

Yes How can all sins be the same. That is another fanatical understanding. Killing is much worse than many other sins. I find that people are not using their intelligence to understand the all loving merciful nature of God. One has to understand Reincarnation and Karma and that hell is only a temporary place for terrible sins. This is a fact according to the Gospel of the Nazirenes Edited and Restored with Historical Documentation by Alan Wauters and Rick Van Wyhe. The Bible before Constantine changed it. The Essenes are the original Christians who have the lost teachings of Christ It's amazing. It supports your point fully.

How can anyone read the Bible, and think that all sins are equal in the eyes of God? Read 1 John 5:16-17. The Apostle plainly states that some sins are far worse than others. He also says that the worst kinds of sins are spiritually deadly, which is why God's Church refers to such sins as "mortal". He tells us that sins which are not mortal can be easily forgiven, by a simple prayer asking for forgiveness. That's why God's Church refers to such sins as "venial", which means "easily forgiven". John further tells us that mortal sins cannot be forgiven by a simple prayer. Something more is required. John doesn't spell out what is required for forgiveness of mortal sins. He didn't have to, since the people he was writing to were all Catholic, and very familiar with sacramental confession.

Hun, do not judge all Christians by the stuff you see here, or Atheists, Buddhists or anyone else who hangs out writing this stuff. Christians have no power to damn anyone to anywhere. And no my church would not turn away either a single mother or a homosexual but yes, I know some churches do.

Just keep on loving people, no matter what they say or do.

I witness to people on a regular basis. I do this out of love for them and obedience to God (Mark 16:15). I don't condemn anyone.

I do discuss sin though. I ask them whether they think they are a good person. Almost all say they are. So I ask them whether they think God thinks they are a good person. Some say yes some say know so I ask them if I can test them. They have all let me test them. I take them through the 10 Commandments, God’s Law. Most people will admit to lying, stealing, and adultery (I ask them if they have ever lusted which Jesus says is the same as adultery - Matthew chapter 5). (BTW – I don’t do this from a lofty position. I am just as guilty if not more than the people I am talking with. And I make sure I tell them so.)

What I am doing is not judging them. That's for God to do. I am warning them. Like the doctor who says you need chemotherapy because you have cancer.

If I were an oncologist and I didn't say you had cancer when tests say you do, you will never see your need to take the treatment that will save your life. In the same way, if I don't bring the knowledge to people that they have sinned against God, they will never see their need for a savior. I would be a terrible doctor if I knew a patient of mine was dying of cancer and didn't tell them. If instead all I did was ask them to come by whenever you want and have coffee with me so that they could feel welcomed and loved and never told them they had cancer, that would be medical malpractice. For a Christian not to warn others that they have sinned against God- that’s Christian malpractice.

Watch the video below all the way through and see if it makes sense. I would love to hear your opinion on it. So please email me to let me know what you think. Also take this test. www.thegoodpersontest.net

Almost forgot. While yes we are all sinners God commands us to repent (turn from sin) and put our trust it Jesus to save us. Salvation hinges on repentence. So the homosexual must give up his sin the same as liars, theives, those who dishonor their parents, and murders must.

Not all of us bash others because of what they do that is wrong. I believe that if anyone (seeing as all have sinned) truly repents and accepts Jesus as their Savior they will go to Heaven regardless of their sin. I seem to judge at times but it is our human nature to do so. I am not saying it is okay because it is not but it happens. As for the homosexuals, I have a big problem with it and am against it but I do not treat the people any different. I just do not accept their lifestyles and you know God doesn't either. A church does not want this portrayed in their church as an okay thing because it is not.

It was not my attempt to hurt anyone with my statement but these are my feelings.

Christians need to point out to people what sin is and their need for a savior (Jesus). This is how we are to judge.

Once a person turns to Jesus, Christians still need to point out their sins, but they are not to judge if that person is going to Hell at that point or not, because we do not know their heart (only God knows) so we do not know if they are doing their part and they have not been delivered or changed yet even though they are calling on God to do it.

As long as there are people who believe one thing there will be people who refute or believe the opposite. Christians should not be quick to judge any one only the word can judge.
John 12:47-48

The only thing a man should be quick to do is to be quick to listen and slow to speak. James 1:19

Yes ideally that is the case. But Christians are people to and many of them have the fault of looking at others who do not believe as they do as inferior (goes the other way also for the atheist...it is a people thing...that darn ego centric view of ours). Love the person hate the sin. It is not our place to be the judge and convector. But yes many of us do. To be Christian, one should attempt to live as our Model Jesus, and when we fail we should attempt to correct our failures. We will ultimately fail that is why God sacrificed Jesus and gave us Grace....By Faith we live, By Grace we are Saved. Faith with out deeds is dead. We know we will do things that are less than Christian standards but when we do we need to climb up, recognize our wrongs and continue the walk.......

Do not Judge others to severely for you shall be judge by the standards that you set.
