No, not an overdose. But certainly on the limits of most peoples abiltiy to process it, and generally said to be a recommended MAX dosage per day...for upto a week.

If the person was not drinking enough fluids & generally unhealthy it may accumulate and cause accute liver damage.

Typically 8g is classified as a maximum or highly dangerous dose warranting immediate hospital care.

I don't know what shows up in a Liver biopsy but I do know that paracetamol attacks the liver and an overdose can be very dangerous. 4g sounds quite a small does but taken over a long period would I suspect cause some damage. I am not sure what it does to the liver but I believe the damage is not reversible so I would consult a doctor quite quickly

The answer is Yes. it would show!
Normal Dosage of paracetamol is 1-4g daily so your level is high but not overdose level. I would stay clear of alcohol though as THAT could cause Toxic/overdose levels when the two are combined.
At such a high level you need to ask a Doctor before using any other drugs, prescribed or OTC's.
It is a dangerous drug and should never be taken lightly just because it is freely available.

the maximum normal dose for achetaminofen is 3 g. daily, so you are intaking more than the normal dose, and paracetamol is very toxic for the liver, so i recomend you to go to the doctor and ask him for another treatment for your simptoms
