Rev 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Rev 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
Psa 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Psa 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Pro 6:16 ¶ These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:
Jer 44:4 Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending [them], saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.
read the context for yourselves. God hates the sinner and hates the sin also. this idea that God loves the sinner and hates the sin is a half truth. according to Psa 5:5 God hates the sinner to.

Of course God hates. He hates sin. Passionately. The idea that God is only loving is not Biblical. He is also a God of wrath. Read Romans one. As to hating the sinner, there is a sense in which he hates the sinner and loves the sinner. First we have to understand that BIblical every single person on planet earth is a sinner. He would be completely just to condemn us all immediately and offer salvation to no one. The fact that any of us are alive now is due to his love. That reason he allows sinner to live a few years before he takes their life, giving them time to hear about his provision for forgiveness and make a decision is love. In that sense he loves sinners. This is true in our experience as well. If your child commits a crime such as murder, is convicted as a murderer, you know they deserve their punishment but you still love them. Just becuase you love someone doesnt mean you cannot show judgement. But here is the real issue. We think that identifying God's hatred for sinners seals the case against him being unworthy of worship. Why dont we acknowledge that according the Scripture man hated God first? And that after God gave man everything he could possibly want? The real question is not how could God be so unkind as to hate sinner, the real question is how could man be so unkind as to hate God.

Rev. 2:6,Rev.2:15- he hates the deeds of the Nicolaitans because they are a sin, anything that is a sin u should also hate, because it goes against God and His word.
Psa. 5:5- saying he hates when we act unaccording to his plan/will/word and that when we try to stand in his sight acting "Godly" and try to worship him when we have not asked for forgivness and acted like we never did anything, thats a sin and he dosnt want ppl that are fake, he wants people who are faithfull and real. But basiclly any sin u commit is an abomination to him untill he repent, the Lord cannot look upon sin. He will ALWAYS love us, its our sin that keeps us away frm him, the actions we choose, the temptations we follow. there is so much more i wish i could share, btu heres the basic point.

"If a man should lie with another man as he would with a woman, let them both be stoned to death (or something like that), for he has done what is detestable." For he has DONE what is detestable. It is not the practicers of homosexualism that God hates, its the act. And for that matter, its not that God just hates them because he hates them, hes mad because he created sex and love like that for a different specific purpose: between man and woman. Its just a misuse of his creation, thats all, and it bothers him. I'm sure god would love a gay man as much as he loves any normal man. "The first shall be last and the last shall be first". Even the people who may be called last in gods love will be first when the time comes. God only abandons those who abandon him.

Since human beings wrote the bible based on what THEY felt & thought, this writing only projects those ideas onto the people they themselves hated. The same could be said about the stories in the Iliad & the Odyssey.
Christians that respond to this posting: These are not taken out of context and they do indicate a vengeful God with a borderline personality disorder.

God doesn't hate anyone right now because this is the time to be reconcile to him and man is not being judged at the moment but when he comes back his wrath will be upon the sinners and yes he will hate them.

Who are you to judge God? He does not hate the sinner, but he hates when the sinner does not repent and keeps on sinning. He said "things", not the person.

If we wish to debate words, yes ....God eventually hates the sinner, ON CONDITION the sinner persists in his sin after knowing that it is sin.
