I implore all people of good conscience to not partake in Thanksgiving day.Did you know the CHRISTIANS committed genocide against the Indians. The erroneous story that Christian authors have relayed about the events of thanksgiving are insidious to say the least. Christians slaughtered the Indians with the intent of mass genocide. Then your authors covered up this massacre with a tale of 'eating around the campfire'.YOU CHRISTIANS OWE THE AMERICAN INDIANS AN APOLOGY!!! How dare you insult their legacy by insinuating that you feasted with good intentions. You brought every imaginable disease to this new world. You enslaved their men, raped their women, and burned their babies;then you have the gall to celebrate this travesty of history.I implore all people to fight your relatives if they ask you to partake.Do not be afraid to use violence.Did not the Christians invent violence with their malevolent ways.We must stand up for truth.I ask you CHRISTIANS to answer my question with respect!

I celebrate thanks giving to show how thankful I am for my life, my family and friends, among many more.

Are we suppose to live in the past, and never move one. We can't change the past, then why not move on and make today a better day. Not one country on earth never harmed another being, not just the Christians or America, so many more. Are we suppose to pay for the sins of our fore parents, and never move on with our life. If so, we all should get a shovel, dig a big hole and bury ourselves six feet under, all of us, including you the atheist. If you look into your past, you will find that your past is not so pure and neither is it full of roses. Apologies are worthless, action speaks louder than words.

Get real, get a life, and make today better than yesterday. Stand up for the truth!! whose truth! yours! because we all must be wrong and you are the only one who knows the truth!

I answered you with respect even when your question has no respect for others. If you find it disrespectful it is not meant to be, I , as you sir, am only showing you the truth!

I'm an Atheist of sorts, I do not live in the past, nor am I responsible for the actions of my ancestors. Thanksgiving is no longer a 'Christian Holiday', if it ever was one to begin with, it is an American Holiday, that people of all beliefs celebrate, including newcomers to this great country. In my view It's a time to 'thank' the Universe (or God, if you are a believer) for what you have. If you think an apology is going to fix the travesty, you'll need to do a great deal more thinking. Advocating violence against your Family and friends is also a travesty...think about that.

You seem to be set upon trying to spew your hatred of Christians through your hate-mongered questions. I feel sorry for you - you must spend the majority of your time being a very unhappy, vengence filled person. It must make if hard for you to have friends.
I, as a Christian, am no more responsible for what happened to the American Indians than I am for what happened to the African-Americans that were brought to this country for the purpose of salvery.
You want your question with respect, yet you show us none.
I wasn't there. I didn't do it. I don't believe it was right, but it's history, it's over - we need to move on and try to live better lives than before. Dwelling on it only breeds more hatred and purpetuates evilness in today's world. We don't need that.

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have, to reconnect with our loved ones and to count our blessings. Its a time to reflect on our own personal lives.

What happened way back two hundred or so years ago, is not my life. I can not rewrite history but I sure as heck can be thankful for things that are personally affecting my world and thats the day I'm celebrating. I think alot of Americans are about the same, they aren't thinking about Indians and war or whatever, they are thinking about what a good year they've had and are feeling blessed and grateful for it.

This is the most twisted, stretching the truth question I have seen in a long time. The blood of the American Indian lies at the foot of the government, The Army and ALL Americans who did not stop the slaughter

We Christians, who are here today did no such thing, Men shall be punished for there own sins and not Adam's transgression. I have never done any such thing to an American Indian, i very much enjoy Native American culture and lore. So i will be going to my families thanksgiving diner anyways.
Peace.

What my ancestors did to the Native Americans was not moral or honorable, but Thanksgiving is not about celebrating the persecution and attempted extermination of the Native Americans or the usurpation of their lands and way of life. It's about being thankful for what one has and for the strength that carries one through difficulties.

Well you are entitled to your opinion. I will celebrate Thanksgiving because where I come from its a" Thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest" and has nothing to do with the pilgrims, indians etc.
Its the same here in Canada too, we celebrate in October for the harvest.

Um, christians didn't massacre the indians, American's did out of greed for the land. Had nothing to do with religion, was purely political and financial greed.
